Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a little recap from an eventful weekend of music, camaraderie, and a few unexpected turns.
Friday Night – Sitting In with The Barrow Gang
On Friday, I had the chance to fill in for Buckled Barrow, who’s on the mend from a medical issue. First off, wishing him a speedy recovery!
In the weeks leading up, I spent plenty of late nights woodshedding nearly 60 songs from The Barrow Gang’s setlist. I’ll be honest: some I nailed, some I kinda nailed. But with the help of the band, we pulled off a solid show.
A huge shout-out to Clyde (aka George Stryker)—he’s an absolute pro at calling out tunes and making last-minute adjustments on the fly. The crowd had a great time, and I felt right at home on stage with the guys.
Somewhere between the first and third set, I officially earned my Barrow Gang name—Barney Barrow. You just might catch me again sometime, holding down the bottom end on upright bass.
It was also a pleasure to meet Dave Bignell—a great guy and a killer guitar player. And thanks to the Atomic Rooster staff for treating us so well.

Saturday Night – Cadillac Rumble at The Keystorm, Brockville
Saturday was another night to remember. Cadillac Rumble rolled into The Keystorm in Brockville to kick off Regatta weekend with a full house and a lot of loud rock ‘n’ roll.
On guitar, we had Mario Lucien, who jumped in with just a week’s notice and absolutely crushed it. If you haven’t seen him play, Mario’s also the lead guitarist in the country band ChickenFried—definitely worth checking out.
Thanks to the staff at The Keystorm for having us back, and to everyone who came out and packed the place all night long. Nothing beats a crowd that’s ready to dance.
