A Few Things You Might Not Know About Cadillac Rumble

We get asked a lot of questions at shows. Some about the music, some about the gear, and some that catch us a bit off guard.

So we figured we’d put together a light, behind-the-scenes post about Cadillac Rumble, the stuff that doesn’t always make it into a poster or promo blurb.

Setlists Are a Starting Point, Not a Script

We always come in prepared, but our setlists aren’t written in stone.

Every room is different. Some crowds want to dance right away, some warm up over a set, and some surprise you. We pay attention to that and adjust as the night goes on.

If the floor’s moving, we keep it moving. If a request fits what we do, we’re happy to work it in.

That flexibility is part of what keeps the shows fun, for us and for the crowd.

Yes, the Upright Bass Gets a Lot of Attention

The upright bass definitely gets noticed.

We get questions about how heavy it is, how it gets around, and whether it’s actually loud enough to carry a room. The answer is yes — and yes, it’s a workout.

It’s also a big part of our sound and look, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

We Take the Music Seriously, Not Ourselves

We care about playing well, sounding good, and being professional. That part matters to us.

At the same time, we don’t believe live music should feel stiff or over-rehearsed. There’s always room for a laugh, a comment, or a moment that just happens on stage.

If it feels relaxed and natural, that’s usually because it is.

We Actually Like Talking to People

One of the best parts of playing live is meeting people before or after the show.

If you’ve got feedback, questions, or just want to say hello, feel free to come up and chat with us. We genuinely enjoy hearing what people thought of the night.

Just a small note: please don’t feed our drummer, David.
He might bite you.
(Kidding… mostly.)

The Best Feedback Is Simple

It’s always nice to hear compliments about the songs or the playing.

But the comments that stick with us are things like:

  • “That was a great night.”
  • “We didn’t plan on staying, but we did.”
  • “You made the room feel alive.”
  • That tells us we did what we came to do.

We Still Genuinely Love Playing Live

After years of gigs, load-ins, and late nights, the best part is still stepping on stage and kicking into the first tune.

Whether it’s a small room, a festival stage, or a private event, we’re there to give people a solid night of live music.

If you’re dancing, singing along, or just enjoying the vibe, we’re happy.

See You Down the Road

If you’re coming out to a show soon, thanks for supporting live music.
If you’re thinking about booking something for 2026, feel free to reach out.

Either way, we appreciate everyone who’s been part of the ride so far.
