One Last Rumble: Saying Goodbye to The Keystorm (Saturday Oct 24th, 2026 @ 9PM)

Every band needs a place that feels a little bit like home.

For Cadillac Rumble, over the last couple of years, that place has been The Keystorm Pub in downtown Brockville.

On Saturday, October 24, 2026, we'll carry the upright bass, guitars and drums through those doors one more time as Cadillac Rumble has the honour of playing the closing night of The Keystorm.

It's our only show in October.

And we can't think of a more important one.

More Than a Pub

The Keystorm has been part of downtown Brockville for more than two decades. In 2024, it celebrated 20 years in business, building a reputation as a neighbourhood pub, a place for live entertainment and, most importantly, a place where people gathered.

Over those years, a lot more than Friday and Saturday nights happened inside those walls.

The Keystorm has supported community causes like the Brockville Winter Classic, which raises money to help make hockey more accessible to local kids. It has hosted the kickoff for the Kinsmen Club of Brockville's Snowsuit Drive, helping collect winter clothing and donations for children in the community. It has also supported fundraising events for Wounded Warriors, among other local causes.

That's worth remembering.

A good local pub isn't just a place to go for a beer.

It's somewhere people meet. Somewhere musicians get a stage. Somewhere organizations hold fundraisers. Somewhere you celebrate birthdays and milestones, meet up with old friends, make new ones and occasionally stay out a little later than you probably planned.

For more than two decades, the Keystorm has been one of those places in Brockville.

Our Home Bar

Our own little chapter in that much bigger story started in May 2025.

By the time we play closing night, Cadillac Rumble will have taken the Keystorm stage nine times in less than two years.

We played there three times in 2025.

Then came March, May, June, August and September of 2026.

And now, one final time on October 24.

For a band that spends a lot of weekends loading gear and travelling around Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec, there's something pretty special about having a place in your own hometown where you can say:

This is our home bar.

The Keystorm became that for us.

We've had some great nights in that room.

Some started quietly with people having dinner and a few drinks. Then the evening crowd would start wandering in, the room would get louder, chairs would move, somebody would start dancing, requests would come our way, and suddenly we were right in the middle of another Saturday night at the Keystorm.

Other nights seemed ready to go from the first note.

But whatever kind of night it was, we always felt welcome.

Eventually, you stop feeling like the band that was hired for the night.

You just feel like you're back at the Keystorm.

And that's what made it home.

It's the People We'll Remember

When a place like this closes, you quickly realize what you'll really miss isn't the room or the stage.

It's the people.

We want to say a special thank you to Dan, Amanda and Sarah, and to everyone else who has been part of the Keystorm staff.

Thank you for putting up with three guys arriving with an upright bass, drums, guitars, amps, PA gear and enough other stuff to make it look like we were moving in.

  • Thank you for feeding us
  • Thank you for looking after us
  • Thank you for supporting live music in downtown Brockville
  • And thank you for continuing to invite us back
  • Then there are all those familiar faces
  • You know who you are

The people we'd recognize as soon as we walked through the door. The ones sitting at the bar who had seen us before. The people who came back for another show, danced, made requests, talked to us during breaks, or stayed a few minutes afterward just to say they'd had a good time.

You became part of what playing the Keystorm meant to us.

A Call to Our Brockville Friends

And this part is personal. To all of our Brockville and area friends, we'd really love to see you on October 24.

Some of you come out to see us regularly. Some we see every once in a while. And there are a bunch of you we haven't had a chance to have a drink with, share a laugh, or spend a Saturday night with in far too long.

This is the night to change that. We're not asking you to come out just because Cadillac Rumble is playing. Come out because it's the last night at the Keystorm.

Come out because it's been too long. Come have a drink, listen to some music, catch up with some old friends and maybe run into a few people you haven't seen in years.

Life gets busy. We all get older. Saturday nights out don't happen quite as often as they used to. Every once in a while, though, you get a pretty good reason to make one happen.

We think October 24 is one of those nights.

So consider this our personal invitation.

Call up some old friends. Grab your better half. Get the old gang together. Come downtown and spend one last Saturday night with us at the Keystorm.

We'll provide the soundtrack. You guys bring the stories.

One Last Saturday Night

On Saturday, October 24, 2026, Cadillac Rumble will take the Keystorm stage for the ninth and final time.

We'll do our best to give the place the kind of Saturday night it deserves. Rock 'n' roll. Rockabilly. Classic country. Honky tonk. A few big familiar favourites. A loud upright bass. Twangy guitars. A hard backbeat.

And hopefully a room full of familiar faces.

If you've seen Cadillac Rumble at the Keystorm before, we'd love to see you again.

If you've played there, worked there, celebrated there, attended a fundraiser there, met friends there, had dinner there, caught a band there or simply spent a Saturday night sitting at the bar, come back and add one more memory.

Because there will only ever be one last night at the Keystorm.

  • One last Saturday night.
  • One last drink.
  • One last song.
  • One last Rumble.

To Dan, Amanda, Sarah, and everyone who has been part of the Keystorm family over the years, thank you for giving Brockville a place to gather, supporting the community, and giving live music a home downtown.

And from Bogdan, David and me, thank you for giving Cadillac Rumble a home, too.

We'll see you October 24.

Let's fill the room, catch up with some old friends, make some noise and send The Keystorm out with the kind of night we'll still be talking about years from now.

Until next time, keep rockin', keep rollin', and we'll see you somewhere down the road.

Scott
